!!! Louden Up - About Time Too

Warp's !!! have slimmed down to a 7-piece and are set to release the long-awaited follow up to last year's 'Me And Giuliani...' single.

The album 'Louden Up Now' will be released on June 7th and has been produced by the band themselves. The release of the album is preceeded by a ltd. edition single, 'Pardon My Freedom/Shit Sheisse Merde Part 2'.

The band play Coachella on May 2nd with European festivals to be confirmed as well as UK and Japanese tours. We're tempted to call !!! "a really good Happy Mondays on bad drugs," but that wouldn't make much sense. They were pretty ace at the Mean Fiddler in December, anyway.

In other Warp-related news, their new signings are the Bristol trio Gravenhurst. The band's debut album 'Flashlight Seasons' was originally released on Silent Age Records but Warp will re-release it on June 28th.

"Me and Giuliani" was indeed awesome stuff. I'd be interested to see if they could hold it up for a whole album, but here's hoping.

I would also like to congratulate you on not once mentioning that most horrible of pseudo-stylistic "genres", the seemingly omnipresent "dancepunk". Man, I hate that word...

not all as sprawling as "Me..", but it's fucking awesome too! 'Intensify' especially, like mAKE-UP on their first e, or some other such lazy lame drug-comparison, and miles better than i make it sound..

Gravenhurst

'Flashlight Seasons' was a split release on Sink and Stove also.... we have a few copies left of this pressing before it's re-released by Warp if anyone is interested.
