Carling stage announced for this year's Reading & Leeds extravaganzas.
This is the bit where everyone goes, "Wow! They've added some great bands!" and some other people say, "Jesus, they do this every year, why did no one listen to me when I said they were going to add more?" Then, someone else will probably say, "Oh crap, I wish I'd bought a ticket now," some other people will laugh and the eBay touts will rub their greasy, dirty, stinky, dry-skinned hands with glee.
Ah, whatever. Animal Collective are headlining the Carling Stage. There is a god. READ THIS LIST:

You dont know
how happy I am that I got a ticket. In true classic tradition. i told u they were gonna announce more bands.
greasy and dry skinned?
horrible
i
swear the lead singer of L.Love looks like that blue puppet from the interpol video for "evil" in that picture!
That puppet
scares the bejesus out of me.
i'm so
angry that there's only one day of dance tent. and a shoddy day at that.
Diet Coke?
what a pussy!
i just knew
i was too poor to buy a ticket. there are some good bands - probably just worth the total value for the event itself, makes me regret having been skint & having even poorer students for friends!
very good
Howling Bells, Semifinalists, Mumm-Ra, Serena Maneesh - shoegaze is alive and living in a field in Reading (and Leeds)
twilight singers are great
wish i was going
eagles of death metal
tv on the radio and mothefucking larrikin love. i fucking hate all ticketholders.
me too
:(
i blame...
...
...
monpot!
This is pretty good
But there are plenty of better festivals about. Although I am going to V this year. Am I a bad person? Would be nice to see these bands but they are likely to tour again and would probably be better to see them then when you don't get a stoned twat jumping on your tent at 3 in the morning and setting fire to your head in the mosh pit for slipknot or something like that.
Reading...
...is people out for fun. The chav element lives at V. Trust me, I've done both and I only got my tent sent on fire at one of them.
....
why am i scared now?
Cos
I burn tents at Reading?
I become very mean on the last night...
Leeds...
...never lets me down. Such fantastic news.
leeds
will people be riding red biffa bins down the hill at leeds this year? have they announced it yet?
that was definitely one of the most entertaining events i've ever seen.........
hahah the bins, the bins
that was brilliant to watch. almost as brilliant as tipping over the cider bar. kapow!
fukcing hell!
animal collective playing the carling festival? there's a good list of bands there, some of them anyway.
looks like somebody at mean fiddler actually has some taste! well fuck me sideways, etc... ;-)
hopefully this means
the wikkid Bedouin Soundclash will play a special show at some dump like the garage
yessss
nah he
looks like Martin Clunes
