Nina Persson, lead singer for The Cardigans, is due to release her debut solo album on 20th August.
The as yet untitled long player will be available through Stockholm Records, but not under Persson's given name; she's decided to call the project A Camp.
Persson has apparently been laying down solo stuff for years, was ready to release an LP several years ago; though Stockholm Records stopped her from releasing it due to fears that it would be in competition with The Cardigans' 'Grand Turismo' album. The lead single from the album, is titled 'I Can Buy You,' and will be out on 25th June.
