Span: Singer in Motorbike Accident

We've just had word that Jarle Bernhoft, frontman of Nordic rockers SPAN was involved in a motorbike accident in Mali on Jan 1st. He's now back in Oslo recovering from the accident.

A spokesman for the band said: "Jarle is determined to play all of the shows, he currently has his leg in a cast, but has a few weeks off now and we expect all touring to all go ahead as planned."

We hear he's smashed one of his knees up and sustained some ligament damage. Aside from a few cuts and bruises, he's ok and nothing is broken.

The band, who release their debut album 'Mass Distraction' and single 'Don't Think The Way They Do' through Island Records in February, are expected to fulfil all European touring commitments beginning with Drowned in Sound UK tour dates from Jan 24th.
