Fountains of Wayne: Single Delayed Again

After some false starts, Fountains Of Wayne's almost infamous 'Stacy's Mom' single will finally get a UK release on Feb 9th - rather bafflingly, a whole five months after the album.
The song is currently sitting at No. 7 in the USA's mainstream Top 40 chart, while the album 'Welcome Interstate Managers' is No. 1 in the Alternative New Album Artist Chart. Whatever that is. The video is No. 1 and No. 3 respectively in the VH1 and MTV charts. It's because of this success that Virgin has deemed the track fit for release over here...
There are plans for a tour around the same time. About time too.
