Barat on Doherty (could he have an album out, d'ya think?)

Carl Barat has told The Scotsman that the chances of he and former bandmate Pete Doherty appearing on stage together aren't quite slimmer than a Pepperami.
The former Libertine turned Dirty Pretty Things singer told the 'paper: "By the very nature of my and Pete's relationship, we could be back on stage before you know it."
Dirty Pretty Things, of course, have an album out today. If the single's owt to go by, it's probably not all that interesting, hence articles like this to plug its existence.
Regarding his relationship with Pete, Barat added:
"I like to think I left it on ice. We're obviously busy with other things, but I like it when I see Pete as long as it's not really public."
He probably said something about Waterloo To Anywhere, too. I saw 'em, Dirty Pretty Things, on The Album Chart Show last night. Shite they were, but they were like Radiohead playing for eight people in a shed compared to the tragedy that was The Pipettes in full live flow... ergh. Great singles, girls, but you've all the live (televisual) appeal of sucking off a goat.

I keep meaning to watch it, but am ending up in bed at 9 o clock recently due to long days revising. I love the Pippettes, I want to be one. The thought of sucking off a goat is quite revolting though. urgh.

You need a really good voice to
get away with the 60s girl pop thing and the blonde that was meant to carry the first song was so badly out of tune it was painful. I think the one with the glasses carries that band and should go solo now.
DPT - Yeah they're very Libertines outtakes aren't they and they don't seem that comfortable together. I notice Barat hasn't been doing many interviews letting Hammond take them instead as if they expect the Pete subject to dominate their press coverage. If they'd made a good album that wouldn't happen so much. All the reviews I've seen have called WTA average. I think this single is their only half decent song even though it's derivative and lacks real spirit. It's still better than the others they've previewed.

How can anyone hate Joe Mace, he's like wallpaper. I actually think Steve Jones is the most annoying C/T 4 person at the moment. Miquita seems like a fish out of water and Alex Zane is great but Alexa just makes popworld even more MTV than it already looks.

Yes you deliver the news, but its always got to have your witty little twist on how crap you think the band is.
Its either 'Some dick from some crappy band said their new album's out soon. Do I care?' or 'OMGOMG, THE BEST BAND of the last FIVE YEARS are TOURING!!!'.
