:O
this is top banana! proberbly my least favourite elliott smith track, but still a great song. well done rough trade
the miserable sod in me
wants this.
miserable sod.
haha. looks good.
that
julie doiron song is lovely.
i am.
and now - screw the beautiful warm day, i'm going to listen to fevers & mirrors :D
no blunt ? no jack johnson ?
bah, and they call this a singer/songwriter compilation
that elliott song
Really is one of the least likeable of all of his stuff, I have to say that almost anything from his 6 albums would probably be better suited to this comp. (but that would make me sound like an obsessed fan.
Also, the Rough Trdae compilations are always good and I have a lot to thank them for for turning me on to some great bands and music, so this looks definitely worth a buy.
what are you guys talking about??!!??!
needle in the hay is an ammaazzinggggg song.
it's beautiful and makes your heart crack just a little every time you hear it.
it would probably be my favourite track of his if it weren't for between the bars.
meh.....
i dont like his vocal in the chorus. the guitar seems a bit less well structured and lazy.
-
HA.
Mountain Goats!!!!!!
Needle in the Hay is great
but not his best
i didn't like
Needle In The Hay until i saw The Royal Tenenbaums. it really fits in there.
i love that
Mark Mulcahy song
I think
I shall be having a slice of THAT action, yes.
What is King Creosote doing on that album?
How can a man whos songs bore me to tears, whose instrumentation is tepid and lyrics insipid get so much critical acclaim?!?! I've tried to like him I really have but its just so very very dull.
why?
Is one of your anecdotes on there?
I can't stay mad at Bamos...
lolz
nice one :D
A singer songwriter album...
... without Stephen Merrit / Magnetic Fields... HELLO!!
The comps
are released on Mute - it's Rough Trade the shop rather than the label.
Sufjan's still great though.
Needle in the hay is amazing
One of my faviroutes!
Where are the
