Comprised of former Beta Band members, The Aliens are to release their debut EP, Alienoid Starmonica, through Pet Rock Records/EMI on May 8.
Aparently inspired by "Sergio Leone and Serge Gainsbourg, Brian Eno and Brian Wilson, Larry David and Ol' Dirty Bastard", the band played the Camden Crawl last night, and have further dates forthcoming (see below). Joining ex-Beta Banders Robin Jones and John Maclean in the outfit is Gordon Anderson, aka Lone Pigeon and a founding member of the Beta Band (true fact! And pictured, kinda...).
The EP contains four songs, and you can hear them live at these events...
3 June: Homefires, London
21 July: Wickerman, Scotland
18 August: Green Man Festival, Wales
10 September: Bestival, Isle Of Wight
