Ipecac Records: Summer Releases
April
Pink Anvil, the odd little side project of Paul Barker from Ministry have just released their debut album 'Halloween Party'.
May
'Mit Gas' by Patton’s own band, Tomahawk is due on the 12th. Quick capsule review: 100x better than their debut.
June
Curse of the Golden Vampire was originally a industrial soundscape remix project/tape swap between Kevin Martin (most famously of Godflesh and Techno Animal) and Alec Empire. But Alec’s no longer down with them and Kevin says ”Expect Annihilation” with the LP ’Mass Destruction’.
July
Kid606 has a new as yet untitled LP due in Autumn, preceded by single ‘the illness’ in July which is described as “acidtechnohardcorebreakbeat”.
Queens of the Stone Age fans will be dancing in the Summer sunshine along to Nick’s Mondo Generator ’A Drug Problem that Never existed’ and the final release of the Josh project The Desert Sessions 'Volumes 9&10' set to feature Mark Lanaghan and Polly Harvey.
September
Not technically Summer, but Fantomas are rumoured to be releasing a more song orientated LP ’Shaq Owns You’.
You Lucky, Lucky people.
