Did this actually happen, or was it just a rumor.
Re: Beck Secret Solo Gig Revealed
BECK was given a standing ovation for his cover of NELLY's 'HOT IN HERRE' at a secret gig in LONDON last night.
Beck, who is currently in Europe playing a number of solo acoustic shows in support of his current album 'Sea Change', played an unannounced set to an invited audience at the London Union Chapel last night (April 28). The gig was in addition to his show last weekend (April 26) at the London Royal Albert Hall .
Despite focusing mainly on acoustic versions of tracks from 'Sea Change', Beck also found time to cover Justin Timberlake's 'Cry Me A River', and during an encore of 'Lord Only Knows', he mixed in his own cover of the Nelly hit, playing piano, mouth organ and a drum machine.
