With the help of a cunning pun and the resurgence of the local music scene, Merseyside-based label and promotions company Black Sheep, in conjunction with support and training Music Industry body, MusicBias, have organised the first ever Liverpool Independents Day.
The event, held on the 4th July (Geddit??) is a sort of In The City affair, compromising of daytime seminars and advice panels, bringing together the best of the independent labels based in the area and featuring some of the biggest players in the Liverpool music scene.
Come the evening, all will converge upon The Masque, where handpicked independent labels will each showcase one of their top artists.
Labels can apply for accreditation as delegates by visiting the website or emailing for an application pack to Event Manager, Tracey Morgan, at info@independentsday.org.uk.
More info will come in over the following weeks as bands, seminars and guest speakers are announced. Stay tuned to DiS for all you need to know.
