- James Blunt »
James Blunt has emerged as the most successful artist of 2005, based on sales, anyway. His 'You're Beautiful' single was officially the fourth best-selling record of its kind, while its parent album, Back To Bedlam, sold more copies than any other long-player in 2005. You people, you make us sick.
The top singles of the year, based on sales, look like this:
1: Tony Christie '(Is This The Way To) Amarillo'
2: Shayne Ward 'That's My Goal'
3: Crazy Frog 'Axel F'
4: James Blunt 'You're Beautiful'
5: McFly 'All About You'
Albums break down like this:
1: James Blunt Back To Bedlam
2: Coldplay X & Y
3: Robbie Williams Intensive Care
4: Gorillaz Demon Days
5: Kaiser Chiefs Employment
Although the official guff says Back To Bedlam was released in June of 2005, it has actually been available since October 2004. So there. The remaining album sales top ten slots were taken by Westlife (6), KT Tunstall (7), Kelly Clarkson (8), Eminem (9) and Faithless (10).
This obvious information was brought to you through a combination of boredom and waiting for lunchtime. Good day.

There must be people here who bought the James Blunt album, even if only as a present, shame on you, shame your children, shame shame shame...
not a fan
of gorillaz, but DARE makes me dance and laugh (at the same time). I actually wonder if the great general public actually use their ears for listening, I really do.
clearly
James Blunt should be taking a high level slot at the Reading Festival 2006 based on such a successful year.
