Sound Explosion sign fat licensing deal
- Artists:

They patrol venues with megaphones and have an irritating habit of making headline acts look as rock as Charlotte Church's 1996 Advent Calendar, and now northern loud-mouth types The Sound Explosion have inked an impressive deal with a major label.
Well, they've signed a licensing deal, anyway: the band will continue to release through Captains of Industry, as we understand it, but will be bankrolled by new SonyBMG subsidiary Red Ink. For five albums. Which is rather more than nice.
The quartet are currently working on their second LP.

f'king hell
that's not bad..
maybe this means
the next record will be as fucking great as they are live
i've still not seen them live.
the first record held my attention briefly. i sort of like the way it basically just goes 1-2-3-4 SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAMMMMMMMM and then a blitzkrieg of guitars that doesn't stop but never really gets THAT interesting. hum.
they are..
...pretty poor and a bunch of cunts to boot.
and what a
fucking terrible name too
don't people put any effort in nowadays?? jaysis.
that's
not very nice
aaaw
poor blokes face is being eaten by his hair...
poo
but entertaining live in a rock and roll circus kinda way
They are...
...indeed a bunch of cunts (ot arrogant) at the very least but it's this cuntishness that makes them such a kickass live band. Saw them at a North East and Cumbria showcase during In The City in Manchester this year - they certainly put on a good show
Isn't this just for the U.S.?
or am i totally wrong here?
Thats what i was told anyway. Captains still do all the UK releases, but SonyBMG do everywhere else.
either way
im still waiting for them to be as good on cd as they are live
that won't happen..
...because they're not as good as you'd think live. aye they've got gimmicks and shit like that, but they have approx. ZERO tunes.
That is...
...SUCH a lie...
They have at least THREE tunes
(although I DO agree that when I saw them, a fair amount of the material DID seem rather dull and ponderous :O )
