Get excited
ATP's The Nightmare Before Christmas has got us all doo-lally and desperate to spread JOY and SUNSHINE and, um, sweets.
Herein lies the full line-up, as we have it (although further acts could yet be announced), with stage times. It's like a print-off-and-keep guide to the three-days of rock, hip-hop, and the simply weird. The bands in bold are those that this writer (Mike Diver), at least, would not miss even if there was an eat-all-you-like buffet at La Porchetta pizzeria on Stroud Green Road. Man, that's some fine pizza, too. Just a shame that so many of these awesome acts clash. Best tie my running shoes tight...

Jordan*
But, but...
...I need rest between Battles and the Locust!
the mars volta
are playing a three hour set? that's one thought to strike fear into my very core...
You're not kidding
Shud-d-d-d-der...
3 hours????
Good God man...haven't they learnt anything from punk rock???
.
If only, bloody fret wankery.
Some fine stuff on this list though. Battles will be a fantastic opener for the festivities.
woooooo!
am i the only one that cant wait for the mars volta set?
Jordan*
!
Thing is, 3 hours? Thats probably only like 6 tracks.
Saul Williams will not be missed by me. Same with Anthony & The Johnsons and JR Ewing.
lmao
i concur. you do have to see either jaga or jai-alai. as ill probs have to miss most of jai-alai it would be ace if someone could cover them.
it looks like in stalking you from Locust to Blonde Redhead on friday and saturday tho mike. and completely avoiding you sunday.
Jordan* Jazzist
woot
yeh but DOOD! after Mastodon Mars Volta will be liek the complete antithesis, and therefore RATE good.
seriously i cant wait for Mars Voltas set, especially as Damo is joining em
Jordan
little bit too much with the boldness
Les Savy Fav -yes, the rest -NO!
That Pub will do so much trade.
ooooooo
*cant wait*
FUCKFUCKFUCK
TOMORROW!!!
someone
go see jr ewing for me
i'm missing them on monday as well
gutted
ok
will you be gay for me if i do?
if so, i won't.
Fuck seeing TMV
It'll actually be a 1 hour set, with 2 hours of static background noise, because that's what The Mars Volta seem to like doing a lot of. They are probably my second favourite band, but when they pull that shit at live performances I want to fucking kill. Yes it works for linking songs on an album, if it lasts less than a minute (i.e. De-Loused), when it is 15 minutes of a 30 minute song such as Cassandra Gemini, and then you are so far up your own arse that you decide to play it live, you need to be shot. They are fucking retarded live now, after the release of Frances The Mute. If they played purely De-Loused, for an hour, it would be awesome, sadly they wont.
Going to...
...the Monday gig. It's going to be fucking ROCK. No fair, though, I wanna see Dalek and Saul Williams back to back. I still pity anyone who watches 400 Blows.
Good luck, troopers.
how can
Diver not want to see Jaga Jazzist?
but...
I wish I was going. Saul Williams and Dalek and Mars Volta.
I wish I was going.
But I'll see Quintron and Miss Pussycat on Sunday so I'll try to recreate the ATP expreiance in the cold, dark Charlotte.
The Mars Volta
yeah the Mars Volta are nothing like they were live last year, this year they seen very subdued
go onto a downloading network (limewire, bearshare) and search for the Mars volta video recordings of them playing at the big day out in sysney last year
they play INCREDIBLY and there is no fret wankery - just a incredibly electric performance harking back to the At the drive-in days.....
Beans?!
he of anti-pop consortium?
if it is, that shall be mighty.
