Singer/songwriter Beth Orton has announced details of her new studio LP and a rather special collaborator...
The album, recorded in New York over the past three months has been produced by Mr. Jim O' Rourke, of Sonic Youth fame. In addition to this, SY's guitar-wielder has contributed bass, piano and marimba - with the revered American percussionist Tim Barnes drumming throughout the record.
'Comfort of Strangers' is released on February 13th (yes, in 2006).
