It's been a year since the release of Matthew Dear's Black City but now there's a video for the track 'Slowdance'. The video was made by Charles Bergquist, and you can see the superb results below.
Here's what Mr. Bergquist has to say about the process himself, just for a bit of background.
"In the song’s build and layering of memories of her she, the environment shared, and the unknown becomes blended, fractured and infinitely heaped together." It does look like thinking backwards feels—uncertain, romantic, bizarre. The lyrics drove the photography and the sound drove the texture and slices. For most of the edit and post-production work, I let the track dictate the visuals."
