Polaris Prize shortlist revealed

A couple of weeks ago the Canadian Polaris Prize released their 2011 longlist, which included a lot of great records. As you should but may not know, the Polaris is Canada's equivalent of the Mercury Prize. There, simple. Anyway the longlist has been whittled down to just TEN records and the ten records are listed below.

Galaxie - Tigre Et Diesel

Timber Timbre - Creep On Creepin' On | DiS review

The Weeknd - House Of Balloons

Some of those have in fact been our favourites of the year, no surprise. Go here if you're interested in the longlist or just here to see what he Polaris Music Prize offers. The prizegiving will take place on September 19, so just over 75 days to go.
