London's Field Day is always a good...day...in a field...in London and 2011 will hopefully be no different. The line-up is normally top notch and if the weather is too then it's hard not to have a good time. The organisers have just announced the next lot of acts, too.
They are: Villagers, Benga and Youngman, Kieran Hebden, Erol Alkan and Carl Craig Presents 69. Great stuff. What's that, you want to know who is ALREADY on the bill for the Victoria Park based festival? OK! Here goes...
Here's who they've got this time round:
About Group, Anna Calvi, Carl Craig, Casper C, Chad Valley, Chimes, Clock Opera, Connan Mockasin, Eat Your Own Ears DJs, Farnborough Concert Band Of The Royal British Legion, Faust, Givers, Glasser, Huw Stephens, James Blake, James Holden, Jamie xx, L-VIS 1990, Michael Mayer, Prizes, SBTRKT, The History Of Apple Pie, Tribes, Warpaint, Zola Jesus, Actress, Ariels Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Clock Opera, CocknBullKid, Ducktails, Electrelane, Factory Floor, Gruff Rhys, Hype Williams, Jamie Woon, John Cale, Konono No.1, Mark Kozelek, Matthew Dear, Mount Kimbie, Omar Souleyman, Oneohtrix Point Never, Pearson Sound, Roska, Sun Ra Arkestra, The Coral, The Horrors, Tortoise, Trophy Wife, Twin Shadow, Wild Beasts, Willy Mason.
This year's edition runs on Saturday August 6 in London's Victoria Park. Tickets are priced at just £39.50. Considering the bands playing, that's pretty decent. More information on it all can be found here.
