Sisterly folkish duo CocoRosie have started to genuinely scare me these last few months, what with their album covers and indeed some of the weird and unconventional vocalisations on their new record, Grey Oceans.
Their newest video, for single 'Lemonade', doesn't do anything to change this. Not much anyway. The croaky voices are spooky enough but dressing up as old, decrepit women? Suit yourself. Part of this video reminds me of Jumanji, though minus the all-out animal action. It flits about all over the place, much like the song itself. Watch it below, via Buzznet.
The duo have just finished a few dates over here but are currently in Europe, touring pretty much until the end of July on both sides of the Atlantic. More information on their MySpace.
