You still here? If you are...firstly, why? Secondly, what do you think to the list above? Bored of how many times you've read Muse, Green Day, Kasabian, The Cribs or something to do with the Gallagher brothers? Astounded by the 'Giving It Back, Fan Award'. Yeah, me too.
Of the list, Arctic Monkey Alex Turner, whose band have six nominations, said:
"It's a good thing knowing we're still up for these awards."
"Kasabian have said that there aren't any other proper rock bands apart from us and them. I don't necessarily agree completely but I know what they're saying. I think we're just co-existing nicely."
You can go to their website to vote for a load of stuff, should you so want to. The Award Ceremony takes place on February 24.

That list
seems to be oddly mirrored about the half way point.
rubbish
that is all
Why are JLS
in the worst band category?
yawn
Who cares of the opinions of the sort of people who'd vote anyway? Its like asking a snail what it thinks of the pavement.
Matt Bellamy is up for sexiest male, best dressed, worst dressed is he? Not even Matt Bellamy gives a shit about Matt Bellamy
hm..
Why the Kasabian album is in the best album artwork category I don't know. It's diabolical, its just the band in a dressing up cupboard.
In all, the nominations have stayed the same for years, there is nothing out of the ordinary whatsoever.
I recall they dont actually pick the Best Album nominations on the rating in the magazine. Iremember picking a copy up once which gave Kaiser Chiefs a modest 7/10 and Lightning Bolt's Hypermagik Mountain a 9. Then the Kaiser Chiefs were put through for best album that particular year...?
The NME seems to be stuck in 2005
Totally agree - stunning dull line up. The list of acts could have been in a 2005 line up. Have I just got older and wiser or has NME completely lost it's edge? Disappointing!

Arctic Monkeys
Muse
Oasis
Green Day
