The shortlist of nominations this for this year's version of the hair-styling company sponsored NME Awards have been announced and, well, if awards were given out to awards shows, there'd be no prizes for originality or innovation in this case.

"It's a good thing knowing we're still up for these awards."

"Kasabian have said that there aren't any other proper rock bands apart from us and them. I don't necessarily agree completely but I know what they're saying. I think we're just co-existing nicely."
