World-famous actor-cum-musician and sometime comedian Steve Martin is to play a show at London's Royal Festival Hall with his band The Steep Canyon Rangers. Yes, you did read that correctly. Surprising, perhaps. You may already known he's won a Grammy for his music, but I certainly didn't.
He's pretty goooood at the ol' Bluegrass technique of the clawhammer, a five fingered technique awfully difficult to master (stop sniggering at the back...).
It's his first appearance in the UK and is bound to be a sight to see and hear. He'll be performing tracks from his new album The Crow: New Songs For The Five-String Banjo, just so you know roughly what to expect.
