Baltimore-based boy-girl duo Beach House have signed to the indie record label behemoth that is Sub Pop, after two releases on Carpark, and will release their follow-up record to 2008's Devotion with the Seattle label.
Although, that said, us in the UK will see the release on Bella Union. But still, it can only be good news for the band and their fans.
The new record was recorded in New York state with Chris Coady at Dreamland Studios. A whole goddamn month was spent recording and writing in Dreamland which is a converted church.
The record has yet to be titled, but we understand it'll be released in early 2010.
Sub Pop said on their website:
"Based on some of the reactions to previous works that are noted below, we think some other people might be pretty excited about it too."
They'll be touring all over the states in the near future, but hopefully they'll be over here at the drop of a hat. Please. Click here for the US tour dates.

I meant, Beach House are totes Bella Union in my mind...
That's all. I was shocked for a minute there!
Well, they are...yeah. But they've just signed to Sub Pop, which is a relatively big deal, I guess.
Plus there's the little bit of album news.
good for them..
..they deserve it, really talented people.
