Perhaps the only good news coming out of Leeds today is that Pulled Apart By Horses are to support Scot-rockers Biffy Clyro on their UK tour later this year.
In a blog post on their MySpace, they described "getting the call up":
In our van day the before yesterday we got a call where a lovely lady said 'you guys up for doing the tour support for Biffy Clyro then?' this kind of question does not need any answer. Wooo ha, ha. Thats what Will Smith would of said. So, hell yeah. We are supporting the Biffter in Oct/Nov on a UK tour! We are well excited and will be proper sweating one off till then. See dates below. Over the moon etclol. Bring on the bearded scot and his chums.

Dear hearts, precious time: Maccabees awkward in an ironic present
FOTL TBC as the other support.
I might have to go.
It's proper lovely...
When a genuinely hard-working band who are ace people to boot get opportunities like this, purely off the back of being an ace band. Rather than, say, egotistical twats with massive marketability...
Sorry, I've just come out the right end of swine flu and love everyone. Probably not ideal during a pandemic...
Well done lads!
Enjoy the scran.
Manchester Orchestra
are also supporting to my best knowledge!
Epic gigs? Oh yes.
I was umming and ahhing about getting a ticket
for the Leeds gig, decision now made, ticket bought!
Brilliant news!
They blooming well deserve it!
apparently FOTL pulled out
which is a shame but makes me feel less bad about not having a ticket. These gigs should be great :(
PABH were 4th in line then?
I know a couple of other bands who were asked and simply couldn't do this one due to the laughably small amount of money on offer (dunno if that's why FOTL pulled out, but still). These kinds of tours are really tough on the opening acts.
great news!
caught em at download this year, played a blinding set
