The Decemberists are to play their recent masterpiece Hazards Of Love in its entirety - as well as a few more songs - at two London shows later this year. In a wickedly ironic twist, the dates will be in the middle of November.
The band haven't been on these shores for shows since October 2007 which is a long, long time for a band like The Decemberists. Too long, you could almost say.
The first of these dates is on November 18 and takes place at the London Forum, which I think is sponsored by Virgin Megastores or someone?
The second show is the following day, November 19, and is at the Coronet Theatre in the less-than-desirable locale of the Elephant and Castle. Don't let that stop you, though...Those underpasses could be fun?
Tickets go on sale at 9AM tomorrow morning and are priced at £18.50 each, no doubt with a couple of quid booking fee wherever you buy it from as is the usual process of such things.

That's rather rubbish that they're only playing in London, I was looking forward to seeing them
Although the Coronet is a nice wee venue, saw Chrome Hoof doing some odd ritual thing there a couple of months ago
Couldn't justify travelling all the way down to London for Decemberists though, especially not midweek :(
I think it's worth travelling down from Aberdeen for, so I've ordered my tickets.
It's good to see some high profile gigs
south of the river for a change (bar Brixton Academy...)
Well, good to see Decemberists playing full-stop.
