Oh man! You guys that were pissed when they announced this festival are going to be furious. The line-up for December's 10 Years Of ATP just got real, real good.
Joining in on the Christmastime fun will be:
Battles,
Sunn O)))
J Mascis & The Fog
Apse
Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks
and
Alexander Tucker & Decomposed Orchestra.
There's some very high-profile indie legends in that thar set of additions, no?
Already on the bill were giants of fuzz and muff-making Mudhoney, fellow Washingtonians The Melvins, Deerhoof, Shellac, Tortoise, Explosions In The Sky and a couple more.
The weekend takes place the weekend after the My Bloody Valentine curated Nightmare Before Christmas, on the same site at Butlins, Minehead. That's December 11-13, 2009.
Fear not those who are going to the MBV event, there's also an addition for you today. You get The Dirty Three added to your bill.
This leaves the line-up for that looking like this:
My Bloody Valentine
Sonic Youth
De La Soul
EPMD
The Horrors
Sun Ra Arkestra
Fucked Up
Spectrum
Le Volume Coubre
Wounded Knees
The Pastels
J. Mascis & The Fog
A Place To Bury Strangers
Lilys
Witch
Bob Mould
Dirty Three
That weekend takes place from 4-6 December, also at Butlins, Minehead. Tickets are available for both events now. Click here for all that sort of stuff.

this post represents all that is good about being alive
EITS, Melvins and Sunn O))) in the same sentence is good enough but this has literally made me spill my tea
stephen fucking malkmus
i am SO mad right now.
Oh look ...
...its the festival that everyone would have preferred to have gone to had they not bought MBV tickets. Bastards
(Aye, I'm still bealin').
tickets are booked and im positively buzzing my little socks off
theres been a lot of moaning on threads about this event (same old bands etc etc) but ive been to 6 ATPs and aint seen Tortoise, Sunn O))), J Mascis and the fog or Mudhoney there, or anywhere at all for that matter. So im chuffed as. The End.
I believe
that should be Apse not APTBS (a place to bury strangers?). I may be wrong though.
it should indeed.
Apse are playing Ten Years. A Place are playing MBV.
By the way early bird tickets sold out today for Ten Years.
Errrrrrrrr
It wasn't when I wrote it. It seems someone mistook Apse for APTBS and "corrected it".
