Former Bis front lady Manda Rin, real name Amanda MacKinnon, will release her debut solo album on September 8.

Available via This Is Fake DIY, My DNA is preceded by a single, 'DNA', on August 18 (digital; physical version follow a week later). My DNA's twelve tracks are as follows:

'Guilty Pleasures'
'Do The Static'
'The Word Out'
'Break Up / Breakdown'
'Love To Hate You'
'No Language'
'Less Than Zero'
'Black Book'
'Bruises'

Bis, you may recall, were the first unsigned band to appear on Top Of The Pops with this little number...

Somehow makes me thin of Enon nowadays... anyway, Rin plays live in London on September 8 at the Fly, New Oxford Street. Tickets are seven quid advance. More information on MySpace.

SUGAR SUGAR KANDY POP!

PUSH IT DOWN AND PULL IT UP!

This is Fake DIY's a great tune as well.

yay!

amazing.

I love her, I love her, I love her so.

Technically, Suede were the first unsigned band to appear on TOTP - their 2 single deal with Nude had expired at the time.

I am the Indie King. Hear me bore.

Good news indeed,

I hope it's suitably electro-tastic like the Kitchen.

capital news!

more power to manda rin. the black kids stole her schitck, after all.

what became of john disco, though? he had the best name.

Gawd

I remember seeing it on TOTP, which ages me no doubt. I thought it was awesome!

I hope the solo record will be equally kiddy and katchy.
