They're trying their best
in every way to "do a Radiohead" with this album, gimmick after gimmick.
I'll only be downloading the good stuff from it anyhoo.
and anyway
this simpsons episode is a classic.
WE PUT THE SPRING IN SPRINGFIELD.
fuck coldplay
But loads of bands have a preview of the album online
REM did it recently and loads of not as big bands do it as well, eg Fleet Foxes and Twilight Sad. So this isn't really much of a gimmick.
By gimmick I'm talking about...
the whole French Revolution thing, the terrible iPod adverts, the releasing it on a Thursday etc... okay they're not exactly gimmicks, but you get what I mean.
Now
at 8.30pm, it would seem. *tension*
you call them gimmicks because you hate Coldplay?
that's cool man, just admit it
I don't hate Coldplay at all
I'd just rather them release an album, you know? Without having to do that annoying advert etc
The clothes they're wearing to promote the album...
are kinda inspired from that era / thing
have they taken it off again
or did it never go up?
there's a secret panel
you need to click on...
it's not a particularly instant sounding record - to be fair and not damn it on first impressions!
ps
it says "plays today: 4"!!
eno
certainly ought to hang his head in shame about this. there is no justification for having anything to do with it other than private education fees for his kids or mortgage repayments on his notting hill offices. disgusting. shown his true colours. allegedly he said coldplay are the sort of band who 'live on the creative edge'! haha
LOOK ME IN THE EYE AND TELL ME CEMETARY OF LONDON IS A BAD SONG!!
I dares thee!
hehhe. So shoot me... I likes the Coldplay...meh.
still dont understand
how to listen to it...
there's nothing wrong with the actual songs on this record
but yet again the production is cleaner than a fucking detox factory - it makes it hard to listen to. if coldplay just recorded their songs live of something they'd be an excellent band
Mince
Put simply, Coldplay are shite!!!
OK?
Anyone disagree?
yes
but too much gloss on these songs - couple more stripped down wouldn't go a miss. bet this record sounds great live though
ummm
you do realise that he produced some U2 records?
I disagree.
Do you want a fight then ?
