Mcfly to ‘do a Radiohead’?

Biting the fist that feeds? The much-abused McFly have already stuck one to the industry, leaving Universal imprint Island Records to setup their own label. Now they’re thinking of using new nest Super Records to stick another, eyeing up the release format of Radiohead’s In Rainbows.
The band may allow fans to pay what they want for new album Radioactive, singer Tom Fletcher told the BBC.
"It's one of the options we're talking about, but we haven't made any decisions yet. You'll have to wait and see," said Fletcher.
Us – tenterhooks, obv.
"There's not a set way of doing things anymore,” Fletcher continued, voice rising as if caught on the brisk winds of revelation. “Now, especially with stuff like downloads, or giving music away, there's so many options for what you can do.”
Yeah, pretty much. Course you could always just not write, record or release any at all, he said with snide predictability.
I hate myself for hating you.

Are going to make a shitload of money if they set up their own label.
and..........they are better than radiohead anyway.
It would have been funny if McFly sucked
because they do have a little bit of talent.
i liked radiohead
when i was 16. now i prefer pop. i know it's supposed to be the other way round but fuckin hell . . . "THE ICE AGE IS NOT COMING YOU TOOL"
Has anyone else noticed
that all the bands that make a big deal about how they can do what they want, found themselves in that position because of the profile and sales generated while BEING ON A RECORD LABEL FOR YEARS?
