A good konking: Pritchard decks Turner

Manbags at dawn – it’s an indie bitchfight between Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard and head Arctic Monkey Alex Turner.

Pritchard told The Daily Mirror he gave Turner the boot after a failed attempt at pulling the plug on one of their live shows.

Turner said: "We have had a weird relationship with the Arctics since we first met. I had to kick Alex in the face after he tried to pull the leads out of my guitar pedals while we were on stage."

Perhaps that’s what konk means then.

He added: "I tried to patch things up with Alex recently but he just turned his back and walked away. I suppose they are quite arrogant."
