Has the new Weezer album leaked yet? Us law-abiding childer at DrownedinSound wouldn’t know, but what we do now know is that the UK version of Weezer’s self-titled new 'red' album will come with two exclusive tracks.
As well as the addition of those tracks – covers of ‘Life is What You Make it’ by Talk Talk and The Band’s ‘The Weight’ – the release date has been dragged forward by three weeks.
So, now these tracks will arrive in the UK digitally on the 9th of June and physically on the 16th:
‘Troublemaker’
‘The Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations on a Shaker Hymn)’
‘Pork And Beans’
‘Heart Songs’
‘Everybody Get Dangerous’
‘Dreamin’
‘Thought I Knew’
‘Cold Dark World’
‘Automatic’
‘The Angel And The One’
‘The Weight’
‘Life Is What You Make It’
The US release dates have also shifted in the last couple of days – moving from the 24th to the 3rd of June.

Singles Round-up (24/03/08)
i want a tache
immediately
...
the new album is simultaneously exciting, hilarious, inpsiring and shite.
i dunno what to make of it yet.
i love some of the stuff about it, but man some of those lyrics and hard to believe.
still better than pretty much anything they've done since pinkerton. apart from maybe a few songs on tba and a couple on maladroit. worth checking out.
^ me too
i nearly burst a blood vessel when trying to force facial hair growth.
I trust that we're also getting the 4 tracks announced
for the 'deluxe' edition too:
11. "Ms. Sweeney"
12. "Pig"
13. "The Spider"
14. "King"
i hope so
is the deluxe edition iTunes only though?
it dont look
that way, i thought i read that was just for the itunes release? or sumthin?
I'm a bit confused by the whole thing now to be honest........
I have bought albums on iTunes a few times, but only if they've been available in the form of those 256 kbps downloads.
There is no way on earth I'd buy a Weezer album as a download though, there are some bands whose albums I need to own in the physical form and Weezer are one one of them.
^^^
Totally worried now the UK version will have the covers instead of those four. Need (hopefully) full band Pig!
Dear Weezer
Why is Island in the Sun not on this release? I had high hopes such a great song could have been on 4 albums in a row. Please amend and re-send to me thanks.
bands only bring
albums forward when they realise that everyone who hears it won't want to buy it
Looks like the four bonus original tracks
will be on download only. And probably only in the US.
Intrigued to hear their cover of "Life's What You Make It", mind.
"The Weight" is a great song too
looking forward to this...
'childer'?
you're all vampires?
Literally
cannot wait to hear this.
Boo yeah!
The Weight
Seriously? SERIOUSLY?
Need to hear that.
hopefully
they won't put Island in the Sun on this one.
Where are people hearing this new album?
PM's please. :'(
No Island in the Sun? I bet they will sneak it on somewhere.
It's one of the worse Weezer songs
after Beverly Hills.
Rivers looks like a Dad
It's Epic.
Rivers looks like
Kip from Napoleon Dynamite with that tache. Excellent.
