You might've seen this offer already, at the end of our Track-by-Track guide to Johnny Foreigner's forthcoming Waited Up 'Til It Was Light debut, but if you missed it...
‘Cause we love you so, DiS is offering London-based readers the opportunity to come down to tomorrow’s King’s College show with JoFo, The Mae Shi and The Lionheart Brothers for just a fiver. That’s you, in, three bands for £5*. Not a bad deal at all methinks.

Only about £8
£10ish with booking fee and postage. Annoying, but not massively harsh
^ this
i didn't mind paying £9 or whatever, but to then do this? its fucking over the real fans who bought tickets in advance and rewarding those who sat on the fence and didn't really want to go in the first place.
Yeah
but now we can be all indie-smug-cool like
Nobody here is chasing any money.
Believe it or not this drive is to ensure the bands play to as full a house as possible, have a great time and get paid well enough to cover their petrol cost/s home, or to wherever they're playing next.
We make nothing from it.
So you know.
I think this is a pretty savvy idea.
It's the same as buying a t-shirt one week, and it goes into the sale the next... Except it's not really like that at all :-S
Anway, it makes sense when Mike metions paying the band, petrol, etc.
I've got an expensive week ahead with the Great Escape and couldn't really have afforded this. Seeing as I'm not guranteed to catch JoFo in Brighton, I'm now thinking "£5 is do-able." so this sorts me out.
Swish.
I was gonna get tickets at some point today anyway, now, doubly sold.
i thought this was a mae shi headlining show
i wasn't going to go anyway because a place to bury strangers and jay reatard are playing at white heat but i thought that was the running order of the tour. i love the mae shi. and johnny foreigner are good too.
The Mae Shi are indeed
headlining.
Also...
Just so you know... Jofo put this out there for DiS readers as a thank you to DiS for all their support for Johnny Foreigner. We're actually taking a cut in pay for this to happen.
From JoFo's point of view, supporting a great band like the Mae Shi was an honor, but not all great underground US bands pull shit-loads of people in the UK. We'd rather take a cut in pay to have more people see an amazing show. Who needs food...
Anyway, a big thankee to Mike and the DiS peeps.
I bought a ticket.
But, I think I'm going to play football instead. Erm, yeah.
This is a hard decision.
