Bloc Party and **Goldfrapp have joined the bill for this year’s Hydro Connect festival.
The former will headline the Saturday night at the event which runs from the 29th ‘til the 31st of August. Also on the bill are Franz Ferdinand, Manic Street Preachers, Sigur Ros, The Breeders, Grinderman and **Paolol Nutini.
"As a band that never rests on its laurels, Bloc Party is the perfect band to close the festival on Saturday night,” said organiser Geoff Ellis. “_They impress and surprise people with every new release and their Scottish shows were some of 2007's hottest tickets.
“It is brilliant that we can now give music fans the chance to spend a weekend in the country with them."
Want to spend a weekend roaming the territories of Inverary with Bloc Party this summer? Tickets for Hydro Connect, which takes place on the banks of Loch Fyne, cost £120 for the weekend, £140 with camping. They are available here.
If you’re going, note that organisers are urging people to travel to the site by coach – car parking will be extremely limited. Visit Citylink for all your bussing needs – green cartel FTW…
