UPDATED: frYars gets himself a new EP, tours with Goldfrapp

Young Londoner frYars will continue his steady rise into the public consciousness with a new EP to arrive in the midst of a spring/summer tour schedule.

The Perdify EP will be released through frYar Corp/Make Mine Records on the 17th of March and is 19-year-old Ben Garrett’s follow-up to last year’s The Ides EP. Here’s what’s on it:

Olive Eyes’
‘Benedict Arnold’
‘The Novelist's Wife’
‘Benedict Remixed’

Production on those came from known-ofs; the Bees' Paul Butler helping out on the middle two tracks while Luke Smith, formerly of Clor, returns after working on The Ides EP to twiddle on ‘Olive Eyes’ and ‘Benedict Remixed’.

Now, those tour dates - some of which, DiS has just learnt, see frYars lending support to Goldfrapp:

March

yay

Fantastic!

'The Ides' was my label's favourite track of last year. Supported oM in London too, and my heart skipped with giddy joy.

That is the most ridiculous tour I've ever seen.

Great news about the EP though.

Beees

I love the middle two tracks on this - Paul Butler is very good - think the Clor guy has made it too bedroomy, lovely songs though
