‘Rumours abound’, introduction to many a dubious news story, but here’s ours for today – popular Glasgow-based dandies Franz Ferdinand might be supporting the Cribs at the Brudenell Social Club tonight (19 Dec).
The three-piece kick off their back catalogue-spanning ‘Three Days of Cribsmas’ shows in Leeds tonight (information). The dates, unfolding over Thursday and Friday nights, see the band playing each of their past albums in its entirety.
Tonight is their self-titled debut, and the omnipresent ‘insider’ in this case is a guestlisted Leeds native who spoke to DiS.
If we’re wrong so be it, but as the dates are completely sold out anyway it’s not like anyone’s gonna be losing out if Kapranos and co. fail to show.

I don't know anything about The Cribs, and I didn't know this was happening, but I do live around a minute's walk from the Brudnell.
