Those forgotten men of indie-rock Supergrass will play a series of small-scale shows this week under a new name.
Diamond Hoo Ha Men take their name from the new Supergrass single which is out through Parlophone Records on the 14th of January.
The six dates – described by one commentator as “intimate” - run thus:
December
12 Leeds Cockpit
13 Nottingham Bodega
14 Manchester Night & Day
15 London the Old Blue Last
15 London London Astoria 2
17 London Madame Jo Jo's
Gaz Coombes has taken the alias Duke Diamon, while Danny Goffey’s AKA is Randy Hoo Ha.

I thought this tour was just
Danny and Gaz?
it's more
a side project by a couple of them than the whole band playing under an alias really.
yep,
was conned into seeing them at digital in brighton (even said secret super***** show) on the ticket. and they played for 25 minutes !

Played Brighton last night
I went, my mates band were supporting...
What sort of stuff did they play?
I mean, back catalogue, new stuff... covers?!
They played a couple songs I didnt recognise
and then a couple of oldie's... they only played like 5 songs though...
See,
this is really strange. I saw them on Friday night when it was three Coombes brothers (Charly on synth bass) and Danny. And they played for about an hour and a half, treating us to new stuff as well as Lose It, Strange Ones, Richard III, Pumping On Your Stereo, Caught By The Fuzz...
And then I hear they're playing really short sets. They did look pretty knackered by the end of it when I saw them, though...
well they only did
about 5 songs in leeds. Only 2 old ones - never done nothing like that before and lenny. They joined us in the bar afterwards though, which was nice.
