Watch: new Friendly Fires video

We agree, then - Friendly Fires are going to pret-ty pret-ty pret-ty big in 2008. Heading on into the year on this, the video to splendid new single ‘Paris’, the band don’t seem too daunted.
Trapped in a black box somewhere surrounded by stars, the self-confessed ‘pop-funk-shoegaze’ trio do just that as moody, double-drummed verses evaporate into a shimmering chorus. Camera drops to brogue-height, gazing at MySpace feet as the band send vibrations out through their storyless box. There is no meaning here, but what would you rather, MySpace foot or trenchfoot?
Exactly. This is gorgeous, even with the sound turned down. Who ever would’ve thought cowbell could so accurately communicate glamour?
