Watch: new Maccabees video

The Maccabees released their very underrated, slightly misunderstood debut album in May. Nominated in our records of the year list, Colour It In is an album of agile, ceaseless guitar-pop that only relents with this, album closer ‘Toothpaste Kisses’.

The new video for the single features what’s been described by the band as ‘extreme snogging’ and is a lot more subtle and playful than some other muck we’ve been serving up today.

Directed by Lea Anderson, the video will accompany the re-release of the single sometime in the new year and an interview with the band will run over the course of next week on DiS.

Wow

another crap pretentious Maccabees video

urgh!

people kissing, before nightfall, that's just sick.

grear band, crap video.

Re-release?

Wasn't it only released for the first time about three weeks ago?

Yuck!

Rubbish band.

Split up now.

if only we had a maccabees board

to talk about this on.

oh dear

this videos a bit creepy. maccabees used to have such a knack for videos!

I think they're a great band

and I love the album, but Toothpaste Kisses is the low point of the record for me. I nearly always skip it. I find it unbearably saccharine and twee in the worst way. The video isn't any better.

:(

it was an interesting idea. But it really doesn't work.

on the contrary

i really like the track because it means i can be cute with my boyfriend but this video doesn't reflect the intimacy of toothpaste kisses (not the song, the kisses themselves) its more like the complete opposite-- make out with everyone for the sake of it.
hm

I like it!

Made me smile.

very sad

it was a good idea, but very badly executed. (the video, that is)
