Exciting free gig news: we've gone and booked our DiScover Club dates for January and February, held as always at London's Notting Hill Arts Club, in conjunction with Rough Trade Shops.
With November and December shows looking likely to be super busy - details below - we've gone all out to get a handful of amazing new bands to open our 2008 series.
Playing in January are Birmingham's brilliantly avant-pop jangle-kids Johnny Foreigner (pictured, MySpace) and Leeds/Newcastle post-hardcore four-piece Sailors (MySpace). February's show sees Bristol's Worried Noodles-contributing weirdo-rockers Munch Munch playing the Arts Club, with additional acts to be confirmed for both dates.

saw the rossmann frister at Water Rats a couple of weeks ago - absolute mint - freshest thing I've heard in ages
rossmannfrister
i saw rossmannfrister at the ruby lounge in manchester last week and they were top! pumpin electronica with a few slower tunes thrown in for good measure, all of which were V.good!
they're on at water rats again next week decks74 so get on down there!
therossmannfrister are ACE!
i saw therossmannfristerproject las thursday at electrowerks in islington. they were shit-hot, i just googled 'em and found this forum, seems like they're still relatively undiscovered at the mo, but i'm certain thats going to change soon, they really were something else, it was like all the ambience of the most ambient radiohead stuff, with as much drive and rockin energy as MUSE or something. totally blew me away, and stood out head and shoulders above the rest of the bands that night. well worth a look!
