London four-piece Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man have announced a string of live dates to coincide with the release of their debut single.

You can catch the band, who release 'Fatherhood/Motherhood' via Transgressive Records on 26th November, playing with Vincent Vincent and the Vilians in the following towns and cities over the next month or so:

I enjoyed their

set at our DiS night in April. I think they are an acquired taste though, as I know of some that didn't.

I think they're a terrible band.

Really, really awful. They come across as a watered-down safe mainstream version of an edgy exciting band. Sort of like they want to be Nick Cave-ish but don't have the guts to push the envelope.

They're not neccesarily a 'typical' London band but they're not worth seeing live either. There's so many better bands out there so just don't waste your time.

a) Thinking someone can be "far too old" to offer a valid opinion on a new band is silly

b) I'm 25 so hardly to old.

c) How is it a lame argument? I saw them live and those were my thoughts. The bottom line is I don't think they aren't very good. They're definitely not exciting. And as much as they're trying to be unusual and interesting, it comes across as far too contrived to be effective.

that was a lame argument

the whole old thing is a really lame argument to hold against someone when judging new bands.

but...

ox eagle lion man are well worth seeing live. they might not be the finished product but they are fascinating to watch, both as a band constantly growing and improving as a real talent but also as great entertainers.
