I really wasn't a fan when I saw him.
The description I'd read beforehand made him sound really interesting and unusual but he seemed to be just a fairly conventional, fairly average singer-songwriter who occasionally shouts a bit to make himself sound more interestng. It seemed very contrived.
I liked
his first LP. never saw him live.
My mate
says he is a pr*ck. That is all
"his return to the UK live scene"
uh, yeah. he played the dublin castle on tuesday.
who?
.
Ah
He's not a bad lad. Needs to release a really, really good album this time, though.
nme will be chuffed
they wet themselves over anything he's done.
as said, very average. ooh we writes about murder - how mysterious.
he's great
looking forward to hear the new EP
well
I don't think he's very good really..bit crap
Lupen Crook
I have been around the music scene for a long time (I started early!) and mark my words, Lupen Crook will be the most influential singer/songwriter since Kurt Cobain - I have seen a great many succeed and fail and know of what I speak. Those of you who have posted nastiness are of course entitled to your opinion (assuming you have yourself had the balls to get up and play) but will be proven incorrect before long! Lyrically, musically, and essentially this is the best this generation has been offered.
