Ian MacKaye: not dead
- Artists:

Reports of the demise of Ian MacKaye, the former Minor Threat and current Fugazi frontman and Dischord boss, have been quashed.
Rumours began circulating in the US last night, and the Baltimore Sun was apparently given notification of MacKaye's death. A swift phone call to the hospital revealed no record of the 'death' however.
When the 'paper later called his home, MacKaye answered with the (im)mortal words "I am still alive."
The whispers were started, as per usual, in those bastions of 'Web 2.0' Wikipedia and MySpace.

Thank god.
:):):):)
well as i didnt hear this
i'm not relieved.
I didn't even know of any rumours...
but if I had heard, I wouldn't be at work today to find out they were untrue as I'd be at home... in bed... sobbing.
the rumour
was started by some idiot who said 'he was hit by a car after a fugazi gig'
so unless he had died in 2001 and then made those Evens albums as a zombie, people should have known it was bullshit.
well
paul mccartney died fucking years ago apparently, so why not ian mackaye?
i hadn't even heard that he was dead
so news of his resurrection is a pleasant suprise
excellent
anyone else not dead?
also
it doesn't say how long after the fugazi gig he died ;)
no
one
Jeez
phew!
i would have like to hve heard the phone
call being answered by a dead the papers mounths must have dropped lol
Pink
Apparently.
:)
Ha! Excellent.
