DiS faves Rolo Tomassi tour next month

Sheffield quintet of utmost jerkiness Rolo Tomassi - favourites around these parts so far as bands what go WHOOSH and SPAFF go - are on tour next month, taking in a free-entry DiS show as they go (September 8). Woot.

ALSO, the band - recently highlighted by Kerrang! as being, like, one of the best new British bands around right now - are to re-release their untitled (or self-titled, whatever) EP of last year via Holy Roar. Read the DiS review here before parting with your cash on October 1.

Video! Rolo Tomassi at Koko, London

:(((((((((((((((

I can't make the show on the 8th now because my mate has decided to have his wedding reception that evening. Bugger.

but

they're playing in luton?

Might have to go

Yiiip.

whose going to

Nottingham??

The Luton show

is FREE!

I always think it's a Dutch trance DJ

when I hear that name. I really shouldn't. I'm probably missing out.

Wellington

here I come! I was at that show at Koko, there were about 20 people there or something. The organisers put them on ridiculously early. But the whole night was fantastic!

Grrr

they should record something new rather than re-release the EP. i'll be at Reading mind.

What does "DiS faves" mean?

Promoting the idea of a closed clique are you?

Many DiS writers and readers like that band

Not really a closed clique as such.

awesome

gona be at the brighton date. with cutting pink with knives right?

Me!

For sho'

:(

I can't make the Reading one due to Bestival.

we should go to Oxord again though :D

^ this ^

I think lots of us like 'em.

"Us"?

..

saw them recently and thought they were a load of nonsense, running through all the cliches stuff with no originality. They're pretty young so they might become a good band in a few years but at the moment its just something I've heard a million times before done a million times better. boring.

NO WAY!

that is a lie

i know a lie when i see one, and that most definitely is a big fat gigantic big lie!

thanks for all the interest...

in our shows!
we'll be playing new stuff and recording some of it soon hopefully.
