El-P announces DiS-sponsored UK dates

Brooklyn-based emcee El-P is coming to the UK in October for a brief tour, and DiS is super-pleased to announce that we will be supporting the trek as sponsors.

El-P, real name Jaime Meline, released his second album, I'll Sleep When You're Dead, to great reviews earlier this year (DiS review here). The follow-up to his acclaimed solo debut Fantastic Damage, the album features guest turns from members of the Mars Volta and Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor. Both albums were released through the label El-P runs, Definitive Jux.

With a love of jazz informing his sci-fi rhymes, El-P stands out from the hip-hop crowd rather; he's also no stranger to a little controversy , with last single 'Smithereens', gettings its video banned from US television.
