Hot wax: LCD and Arcade Fire release joint 7"

LCD Soundsystem and Arcade Fire have joined considerable forces to record a split 7" - each covering a song of high renown.

The release comes to mark the pair's joint, 10-date American tour. LCD will offer up a version of Joy Division's 'No Love Lost' while Arcade Fire try their hand at Serge Gainsbourg's 'Poupee de Cire, Poupee de Son'.

The record will first be available through the band's websites, and then on the black market. Shhh.

Both acts have UK tours lined-up - click first for LCD and second for Arcade Fire.

Kate Nash + James Murphy = true

They both like tea, innit! Or maybe he's drinking whale milk. Anyway, perhaps James Murphy can get together with Kate Nash and make her stop making music.

I won't be getting that 7", it sounds dull, doesn't LCD Soundsystem cover Joy Division every other day now?
