Jack Peñate to play Truck benefit, tonight...

Top ten-coasting singer-songwriter sort Jack Peñate (pictured) is to play tonight's Truck Festival benefit show, at London's Hoxton Bar & Grill.

The show - tickets for which are a tenner on the door - also features George Pringle and Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, as well as the Mystery Jets on the decks. Are they any good at spinning the hits? Dunno: best wander down and check 'em out.

There are also rumours that another solo artist, recently seen in the top ten, will appear. But we ain't sayin' owt beyond that, so shurrup. No act is getting paid for this special show, with all proceeds going to Truck. Because their non-festival was a bit of a wash-out at the weekend. Perhaps you heard about that.

Gonna go? Get yourself added to the show - or, rather, the show added to your gig calendar - here.

Wooop!

???????

Wasn't this supposed to be extra extra special???

"There are also rumours..."

That's the extra extra spesh bit. Y'all.

urgh...

I heard his latest single more than once today on Radio 1 (it was on at work) and it's just so utterly shite. It's like a mentally challenged lovechild of the Coral and Ordinary Boys.

him and kate nash

duet on Do They Know Its Christmas, for the flood victims

DiS fact:

i used to be "Mystery Jets DJs"

but now theyre better than me

theyre fun and inventive

Mystery Jets on decks

YES!

It starts like Happy Hour by the Housemartins and then turns into a reggae version of Naive by Kooks and has the Libertines "Oh-oh-oh-oh" idiot shout in the chorus! And that bit about "Why do people complain when I've got my feet on the seats, chairs don't have feelings" NO THEY DON'T YOU PRICK BUT PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO SIT IN WHATEVER SCUM YOU PICKED UP OFF THE FLOOR OF WHATEVER HOXTON HOLE YOU CRAWLED OUT OF!

Calm...

my goodness

that song is really horrible
