Internet porn: a lot like scoring drugs, says Anthony Kiedis

Anthony Kiedis, singer with mega-popular funk-rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers, has compared the world of internet porn to the evil world of evil drugs.
Makes sense, we guess: we often stick USB leads in our needle wounds.
Former druggie Kiedis, 44 and currently dating someone half his age, said:
“When I finally got a computer, I discovered this limitless world of pornography.
“I realised the same feeling I was having was the same I used to get when scoring drugs. Sex can have a dark side. I actually had to make a commitment to myself to stop.”
My mum just cancelled the broadband. Easy. Make your own somethingfornication jokes below.

to do the new republican song for the elections in America??
Wanker..
..too easy.
NO!
i won't suck your kiss.
the feeling i'll get from it will be exactly the same as when Kiedis scores drugs.
BAD.
Didn't Kiedis lose his virginity to a prostitute when he was 14?
And only now he realises that 'sex can have a dark side'. Loser.
As if they're any way similar...
I can give up internet porn any time I want.
ha, you should read his autobiography
theres worse
Half his age?!
What the hell, Anthony!?!
Cunt...
..go fuck yourself.
"You should read his autobiography"
Worst advice ever! For God's sake folks, do not pick that book up. I got about 15 pages in and gave it to Oxfam. Sorry, Oxfam!

Hotter than a fever

Is a gold plated anus.
I read a book about the chilli peppers and it seems they are just a bunch of recovering drug addicted whiners.
It said that they kept falling out over drugs and that they only started being a band proper 10 years ago.
That'll explian why they got more popular.
He's 44, fuck! They really should have split up by now. Who do they think they are U2?
I like some of thier songs, they should do summit diffrent, maybe some ragtime or pehaps... ah bolloks whats the point, I wish they would stop. Now!
I quite enjoyed his autobiography...
It's a pretty good example of how money and fame have fucked up consequences.
On a related theme, I'm not a massive fan of Kiedis, but why such a hate towards RHCP on here?
Time to whisk this one out

thanx to whoever posted this first.
yep the song says it all
the internet is for porn. I could sing that song all day!
Hate
I wish I knew. He was trying to make a point, but I doubt if any of the posters have any real knowledge of addiction, and evidently aren't capable of grown up thought.
Crunch!
The book is, in my opinion, poorly written even though much of it was apparently done by a ghostwriter. I'm not saying that I could do any better but I don't have a phat publishing contract. I know full well that there are better writers out there with more enlightening things to say that will never get widely read because of ideas such as market appeal.
I sympathise fully with addicts, I've seen a friend go down the coke road and drive himself into relative poverty and alienation. I just happen to think that Kiedis isn't all that bright and that internet porn is 99.9999% harmless. I look at some at least twice a week!
It's easy to mock
(and Christ knows I want to 'cos they're really not a good band) but he's not making an unreasonable point.
I work in a psychology department in the NHS and internet pornography addiction is an increasing problem. That's not to say (as is of course the case with drugs or alcohol) that there's anything inherently problematic or in any way wrong about using internet porn but it is something people can get very depedent upon and use as a substitute for real sex/relationships.
As I want to stress again this isn't to suggest that internet porn is wrong in any way but the implication in some of these comments that suggesting internet porn might be addictive makes someone right wing or Republican or prudish puts politics before real-world facts.
Probably true in a way.
worrying stuff, but its your own fault for using the net for that shite in the first place surely?
its a very good thing to do
after releasing a boring album: buy a computer and watch some porn! :-)
that vid's
been removed now. but i guess it's the avenue q one? crackin.
oh anthony keidis. stop saying things you think people are interested in.
there's so much more interesting news out there mr diver, did you just post it because you knew you'd get a big response? you sly dog you. have i won tickets to hawk and a hacksaw yet?
