Bella Union celebrate tenth anniversary at SXSW

Maybe you know, maybe you don't. Either way, read this: Bella Union turns ten years old this year, and the acclaimed label has a host of fun 'n' games up their sleeve as well as a special anniversary compilation CD on the way. But for the time being, they've a party to plug over Texas way...

The label's showcase event at this year's South By Southwest muso love-in will take place at Austin's Buffalo Billiards on March 17. Playing:

My Latest Novel (pictured) @ 8pm
Stephanie Dosen @ 9pm
Fionn Regan @ 10pm
Robert Gomez @ 11pm
Midlake @ midnight
The Kissaway Trail @ 1am

DiS hopes to be there. Although we expect to be drunk by the end of Fionn's set. If we're rowdy, please don't throw us out. It's 'endearing', my mother says.

Oh, and happy birthday!

is it me

or are these the worst of the bands on Bella Union, considering the bands on that label?

They're all good.

Hurray for Bella Union!

Yeah, theyre good

just not bella unions best.

personally i wouldnt settle for anything less than 'one night only: josh pearson performs the whole of texas-jerusalem crossroads with explosions in the sky as his backing band'

but thats just my fantasy.

wouldn't say that

wouldn't quite agree with that even though the quality standard at bella is quite high.i mean fionn regan is really something.he puts damien rice to shame.im no music journalist but if i were i would say that ''the end of history'' was really engaging but also the kind of music you can chill out to.you should check him out www.fionnregan.com or i hink he has a myspace aswell

wtf

im sorry that's rubbish stephanie is nothing of the sort and her voice is incredible. poseur! ha! you really have no clue. Fionn Regan is incredible as well. the next dylan!
