Britney checks into rehab after week of frankly odd behaviour

Chart-conquering pop songstress Britney Spears has checked into an undisclosed rehab facility following a week or so of increasingly odd behaviour.

Following the bizarre shaving of her head and the getting of a new tattoo earlier in the week - fairly regular behaviour really, unless you're a pop star - the singer is now recovering from the downs and downs of her career at present.

Her manager, Larry Rudolph, commented:

"Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed rehab facility today. We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time."

Former husband Kevin Federline is reportedly concerned about his ex-wife's well being, a friend of the comedy rapper saying: "Of course he's concerned about her. He loves her. He's always loved her - even after she started divorce proceedings."

We obviously wish Britney all the best, and look forward to seeing her in better health in the near future.
