240 bands set compasses to SXSW

Rounding up confirmations that have come spewing from various media orifices, local website Austinist has collected 240 names that are planning to play at this year's South by South West industry showcase.
It is important to stress that the full list, which you can find here, is not confirmed by SXSW, but rather includes those bands that have made it known that they are playing in Austin this year. Nevertheless, some highlights - as seen from the DiS perspective - run thus:

If I go to SXSW, which isn't even 10% likely but y'never know, can I say I know you to earn kudos when you slay a room full of men that have flown all the way to Texas to see a band they can see week in, week out at home? But never did cos, like, they only listen for SuperMegaHype rather than The Good Bands And Shit.
