ATP: 'Le Tigre have split'

Le Tigre are no more, according to the organisers of All Tomorrow's Parties.
The claim was made as part of a statement released on the festival's website, which was explaining why some bands hadn't been booked for the weekend.
"There are a lot of bands in there that just won't play," the post claimed. "i.e LE TIGRE who broke up last year."
Their out-of-date website reveals nothing, except that the band have no shows lined up. Wikipedia simply says they're on hiatus.

To be fair,
their last album was a steaming heap of shit. But it would've been nice to have seen them live.
nooo, i wasted a vote !
i feel angry and stupid now.
,
I thought this was old news? I'm not a fan at all, but I'm sure I knew about this at least 6 months ago....
I didn't know
but i kind of guessed..
the last album wasn't that bad, it just wasn't that good compared to le tigre and the feminist sweepstakes.
ah well... with le tigre and sleater-kinney gone i fear for the grrrl scene
I saw them live TWICE
they were fucking great. One of the gigs was so good I cried a little bit.
Did
a little bit of wee come out as well?
gutted
that i never got to see them.
i suppose it was obvious as its been very hush hush lately, last thing i heard from them was kathleen interviewing joan jett (i think it was) in AP.
ha ha
i hate you staz
(not really)
yeah
i heard this in june last year thats why JD joined Peaches touring band.
Damn
The good ones always go first. No more Arab Strap, Tindersticks and now Le Tigre.
Thought This Island was pretty weak, though.
But when did they do the remix of Gossip's 'Standing In The way of Control?' I assume that must have been their last bit of work.
